About

Using Cyanotype materials, Millie’s work aims to make visible the imperceptible moment when the ocean first meets the land. Each shoreline is unique and dictates the personality of the print. By capturing the crash of waves from oceans around the world, Millie uses art to connect her viewers to the ocean in order to promote a more sustainable relationship between humans and nature. The speed at which each wave makes contact and is printed on the paper echoes the urgency for change. Through art and the power of creativity Millie aims to bring forth the oceans fragile beauty and start to communicate a powerful human response. Combining art with education, Millie runs workshops for children and adults educating different groups of people about the ocean.
